Purchase from Dnepr World
I am thinking of buying a bike kit from Dnepr World ... has anyone worked with them before and what were the results?
Some good, some bad, some ugly.
That's pretty cryptic.....
I bought a Dnepr from Yuri and the final (dealer) price was $300.00 more than one of my (non dealer) customers paid for the same car at about the same time.
Parts were missing on the one I got and there was considerable cosmetic damage. The wheel was unusable (way out of round with mostly loose spokes) as delivered and after futile attempts at truing was delegated to being used as a spare for emergencies.
The customer paid a stiff price $150.00 for an alleged mounting kit which turned out to be 2 short pipe halves with eyes welded on to them at 90 degree angles. Useless. His car was also missing mounting parts struts and misc. bolts. However it did have lots of lumpy paint with dirt in it on most of the body and frame that wasn't rusty.
I've heard from others who got chassis only without bodies and no wheels because they did not specify exactly what they had bought.
It was still a better deal than my 6 car order from Chang Jiang. After prepaying and paying extra for paint and crating and fumigation, we ended up with nothing, except a notice from the US State Department and Chinese Customs that they would look in to it. It's been over a year now and no word from any of the three.
As the saying goes: "So soon old, so late smart", might apply here.
Caveat Emptor,

Lonnie:
If Chaing Yang or Kung Foo or whatever they are called is that bad, then why are they allowed to advertise here on this site?
That reminds me of "Grey Market Tractors". There a few importers of compact tractors selling non compliant units in the USA. That's buyer beware too.
