I've been doing this a long time and I've yet to see any sources that specifically sell parts for Harley sidecars other than the Harley dealers.
There are some very good discount sellers that will sell you parts at good prices. Places such as Zanotti's Harley-Davidson, Hale's Harley-Davidson and Chicago Harley Davidson among others usually sell genuine Harley parts at 20% off and sometimes with free shipping deals. I bought my lower gearing motor sprocket and clutch basket from Zanotti's. Those are not specifically sidecar parts however.
It all depends upon what parts you might mean. When speaking of HD sidecars, "parts is not necessarily parts". It would help if you could be more specific.
Thanks for the reply...I'm looking for maybe xtra leafsprings or possibly any interchangable parts such as ballast weight or just any parts that would replace parts on TLE I have...? I know HD doesn't make to many access. for these but didn't know if anyone out there has better info.? Thanks again...=)
eBay and some of the Harley specific sites may be helpful.

My searches for any TLE parts have yielded close to zero other than new from Zanotti at a discount. Harley weight bars are in the category of Crocker motorcycles. Parking brakes are now over $1000 and no one seems to either buy them or sell them used. There ain't much left on a TLE to buy.
It seems to me that you have to just stumble upon a TLE part at the right place and time. Thus far I haven't. 🙁

As to the parking brake, as Lonnie said the other day, they may require them in Canada and Europe but not in USA so far. I've only seen one in use and otherwise, they are a catalog item. Occasionally, you will see TLE parts on eBay. Use Keywords "Harley Sidecar". There's not much, but on the other hand, we don't need much. LOL.
With regard to the weights, most of the Hack riders will make their own weights. I made mine out of a 1/4" plate and melted 45 pounds of lead into it for close to 50 ponds of total weight. It's the same dimension as the earler cast iron Harley weight. It bolts onto the outer spring perch. Harley quit making the cast iron on ones 10 years ago. For close to $200 they didn't sell at all. They were ugly too.
Here is a picture of the metal shell that I welded together from 1/4" plate steel.
This picture shows the finished weight in place. I also built a small outrigger mount to raise the weght 2" and move it outward 1-3/4" so that it wouldn't hit the tub.
And another picture of the top of the weight, showing the general location. It does an excellent job of holding the wheel in place.
Happy Trails. 🙂

Spousal unit says $200.00, they sell for $340.00.
good morning from the uk on the subject if sidecar weights, once i was used to the rig i discarded them but for weight i used roof flashing sheet & screwed it to the cavity under the seat so it was as if i had a pasenger it worked really well & no one knew it was there if you stack it flat & fill the gap it halds about 60lbs. it's a shovelhead with a cle.

25 pound bags of buckshot work well too!
if you know the part number you can have a harley dealership check stock in all dealerships, it could be an nonstock item and may be willing to sell at a lower cost, i picked up a complete install kit that the dealer had for several years. picked it up for 30% off retail

The only issue would be getting the connection kit that works with the year of the motorcycle and the year of the sidecar. Harley has different part numbers that fit each FL bike and will cover a couple of years of sidecars forward or backward.
The rear mount has changed a couple of times in recent years. For example. they used to use three bolts and some of the earlier bikes only had two threaded holes at the swngarm bearing so the kit came with a weld-on fitting for the third bolt. Then around 2002 or so, they changed to using only two bolts on that rear mount. Then in 2007 or so, whenever they changed to 96 cu. inches, they changed the whole frame and I understand, although I haven't seen them, that the rear mount changed yet again.
One change that I really like is on the 2002 and later Harley sidecars. They changed the two lower mounts to incorporate new standoffs so that you can adjust the toe-in without removing the bolts. You only need to loosen the two jam nuts on each Heim joint mount and then you can turn the standoff like a turnbuckle. It makes small, finite changes very easy.
So, it's important to ascertain the application of the part number for any particular kit. Those kits are so expensive that getting the wrong one would be worse than just looking for separate pieces on eBay or somewhere else.
As far as getting a Harley dealer to let go of new parts for less than retail, it won't work with the dealers near me. They are straight retail.
