No longer dreaming...
Well, I did it -- bought a sidecar rig. 1999 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad 1500cc with Champion Legend sidecar. Should be able to pick it up Friday 8/12/11. 🙂
very nice looking ride.

Agreed! Have fun and be safe 🙂
Thanks! I'm sooooo hungry to be riding this baby. I've been a motorcycle rider since '79 or so. Have also ridden trikes on many occasions (but never owned). This is my first (and probably only) sidecar rig. Handles real nice and not as different as I'd expected. Looking forward to putting some time and miles on it :). I may even use it as a daily commuter to/from work -- even with this setup the gas mileage will be better than my Explorer...
Really sharp ride! I know what you mean about the wait!. Is the front end stock or has the trail been reduced??

Oh yeah, a classic looking rig for sure.

Great color. Really nice looking sidecar. Does it ride well?

Everything is pretty much stock - except the pipes...they are LOUD! My neighbors will probably appreciate that it also comes with the original *much* quieter pipes which I'll put on after a little while .
Single owner - has complete records of everything ever done. Another fun thing to look forward to will be reading the various papers and seeing what was done when by whom etc. Should give me a very nice picture of the history -- almost as though I've owned it all along...

I've only taken it for a short ride but it handled real nice - not at all like a two-wheeler, of course, and not quite the same as the trikes I've ridden - but all in all, a very nice ride.
I rode in the sidecar too -- surprisingly comfortable and roomier than I'd expected -- and I'm 6'4".

Our Sportster had LOUD straight pipes installed when we purchased it. First change was to back to quieter pipes.
Let us know how it -- and you -- drive. 🙂

Picked it up last night (Thu 8/11) and rode it home (about 60 miles). Wow!
I do have a view questions, concerns, etc but I'll start a new thread with those (titled: Advice for new rig rider).
All in all - a quite exhilarating experience...

And all your friends in AR, LA and TX appreciate it.
Good looking rig.
Nice paint combo.
Have fun.
