My Bride and I completed, sucessfully I might add, the Sidecar/Trike Eduacation Program. We took the course at the New River Community College in Dublin, Virginia. The instructors did a wonderful job. Thank you Don Early and Tommy Meador.

The training was conducted using three Honda Rebel 250s with Velorex 562 sidecars. They also had a trike - an old Honda 400 conversion.

The weather was outstanding. We had 8 students. Some with zero experience on any sort of bike. By the end of the class, we each flew the car in a (somewhat) contolled fashion....... with everyone of us grinning.

My wife is now shopping for a Rebel and I am inching closer to putting a car on my W650.

Even if this goes no further, the experience of the weekend was worth many times the effort.

Thank you to the membership of this website for pointing the way to the class.

Dan,
Now lets reason this out...you say your wife is looking for A rebel and you are inching closer to putting a sidecar on your W650. You also said that you left the class grinning.
Well, my friend, these are indications that you both have classic symptoms related to an illness that is terminal. The sidecar syndrome has bitten no doubt. This is non revesable and you can not get around that. You will in time indeed put a sidecar on that W650 and a Rebel for your wife will turn up. From there the addiction will probably grow to unknown levels.
This is nto a bad thing but please do not deceive yourself and get into a denial mode. It will do no good. Your statement that stated:"Even if this goes no further, the experience of the weekend was worth many times the effort" was okay even though the first part of it was inaccurate.
Of course I am kidding....or am I?
Regardless welcome to the world of sidecaring and we all hope you both will enjoy it as much as many of us have.
