After a long hard battle looks like I'll be loosing my right leg above the knee.
Looking for double handlebar master cilinder conversion, left side rear breaking or any other options.

Thanks
Mike

Good luck and best wishes to ya Mike!! I've got a good friend who I've ridden many thousands of miles with that lost his right leg up high in a farming accident in the early 60's. He hasn't let it slow him down or prevent him from doing anything he wants. You can do the same!

Hi Mike, I'm a left above knee amputee. There are several websites dedicated to amputee riders. also check out amputee riders on Fbook. I'm sure you can find what your looking for. Jim

I have seen a YouTube video of a guy in Australia who lost his right arm and leg. He has a race bike with all left side controls. Look for Alan Kempster, Left Side Story. There are some views of his controls early in the video that may give you some ideas.

Thank you for that. will start checking youtube.
I'm trying to have the rig ready ASAP. I do a lot of PGR rides and parades. I already have a commitment to give a Soldier, who is a double amputee, a ride to his new home. My American Leagon post had a hand in building a special home for a returning Vet.

Bikermike it breaks my heart to hear such misfortune, as for some suggestions, the last cafe i had built, a moto-guzzi master cylinder was used that blended the front caliber with the rear, guzzi has used this applcation for some time,my left front rotor was hooked to the rear and right front rotor to the front brake. Another idea is to T the the front and rear together and use a porportioning valve [sprint cars use these to limit flow to usualy the left front wheel]. I am not sure if either is viable for your request, but best wishes for your a solution. Amazing how things change Mike, many moons ago this handcuffed drunken diesel boat submariner, brig bound, never thought he wood be helping a marine.

We have not had good luck with the double masters. I would convert to electric shift and move the brake to the left side.

The left foot break is looking like the way to go. I'm thinking of just mounting it just slightl ahead and outside of the shifter.
I still would like to get a master list of all the parts and comversions available for disabled riders.

I had a friend that had no use of either of his legs to the point he had to tie his legs to the crash bars to keep them from flopping around. My first question is what bike you are riding? He had a Harley dresser with a HD hack. He turned the left in to rear brake and made a shifter that had a clutch lever on it he and shifted by hand.

Will you have a prosthesis? Would you be able to use it for the brake? Best of luck!

I have a HD Fatboy with a Mortorvation Spyder hack. Will be getting a Right leg prosthetic. I have been working on the problem for a while. there is not realy a reasonable way to work the break with the prosthetic.

Praying the very best for you Mike in your journey! I'm sure you can get things all worked out so you can still ride and even bless others while you do it! Thank you for your service to America!

My vtx has dual front brakes! Couldn't you take one of those lines back to a rear disk??? Dual front is nice but not all bikes use them so.....????

I did look in to this idea. I have had some folks advise me that even with a proportioning valve a single mastercilinder running bouth brakes is not a good idea.
I have a heavy bike and a heavy sidecar.
I have been very sruprised at how little information is available on fitting a rig for disabled rider.
The webs will recomend what you can do but don't have any links or list.
I live very colse to several large Millitary bases. I hear storys all the time abought so and so who got his bike modified BUT, I have called abought 25 bike shops in this area and have 0 results.
I have 2 more leads to call today
