It was a phishing/Spam bulk post. 300+ ads in Chinese characters talking about fake diplomas from 300 universities around the world. I don't think there was any data loss. At least Jerry hasn't detected anything indicating that.
The plan is that by early to mid May there should be a rollout to the new platform. It will not look the same, but it will be faster, cleaner and (hopefully) have all the same threads that the current forum does. So far everything looks good for that plan. Having played around with the new forum application for the past couple of weeks we have found most of the interesting features and challenges. We will help folks with the new quirks and get everyone up to speed.

Thane, if I read your post correctly, as quoted above, you are saying that the new website will be faster....cleaner....and up to speed.
In other words, it will resemble my BattleWing Galactica....eh?
Good ! Because dealing with the current website that is like a Ural, or a BMW hack....gets tiring having to replace parts at every stoplight !

We told quite a few "brand" jokes during our picnic with the CMA chapter today. Won't repeat them since they were all pretty old and all y'all likely heard them a couple times already!

We did try to break and failed.
The change is coming fast now. So often in the Tech world changes are made for no reason other than to do it.
The I did that thing. So a person or group can put their finger prints on it and be a hero.
In this case it was needed. The change has been well though out. It has been tested to to the limits it can be.
Here we go. I will be at VA most of the day tomorrow so the change will be well underway by the time I get home.
