Does anyone on here know of any companies/dealers that rent sidecar rigs out West, particular in California? My wife and I would like to fly out West next spring and do a week or 10 day trip around CA and would like to rent a rig. It would cost me around $1k to ship my rig out there and then another $1k to ship it back so I think it would be cheaper to rent.

The only rentals I am aware of are the "Fly and Ride" programs offered by Harley dealers in the Bay area and SoCal. Many riders and groups from Europe, Hawaii and OZ use this method. Your nearest Harley dealer should be able to arrange a rental.

"Fly and Ride" is only for H.O.G. members, there's Eaglerider which many Harley dealers also offer. I don't believe any of them offer sidecars though. With Harley's new trike you may be able to rent one of them, although to rent a big twin is in the range of $100+ a day, then there's the damage wavers etc, you may find it's almost as costly as shipping your rig out and back. I looked at Eagleriders website, they have trikes, but they run 200+ a day. A lot of the transporters prices depend on whether there are a lot of bikes going or coming from a particular destination, some seem to run "special" to Daytona or where ever to make sure they have a full truck. Check around.
What's the going price of a HOG membership? Last time I paid it was about $25 a year, but that was a long time ago. It may be worth joining to qualify for a rental. Will an associate member be able to rent, or must you be a full member? It used to be that you needed to own a Harley to be a full member but not for an associate membership. Is that still the case?
