Liter class sport bike with sidecar
Hi,
I already have a smaller outfit (500cc) that I use around town, and will be taking deliver of a Gold wing outfit for long distance touring. I always want to have a sports touring outfit (FJR1200, Honda ST1100, Kawasaki Concours, Ducati ST*) but now with the arrival of the Gold wing there is no longer a need for it. However, I still have a Kenna sidecar that is without a mate. I am planning to let my misses use the 500cc outfit, while leaving the Gold Wing only for long distance trip. That means I want to have my own rig using the mate-less Kenna that I have for personal use.
I'd like to plan on putting a liter class street race bike to mate with the Kenna. I do not have the budget, nor really want to go all the way into a hub steering, car tires, HP sidecar design. Just a traditional mounting system, with steering damper, or maybe unit link forks (but may be not).
I wonder if any of you there has some experience into this type of combo, and what will you recommend? The bikes I am looking at are Yamaha FZR-1, Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R, Honda CBR1000R or RC51, Suzuki GSXR-1000, or any Ducati 9XX. I am not interested in anything smaller than 900cc, nor anything that is not a out and out sports bike.
FYI My 500cc is actually a Kawasaki Ninja EX500, so it is a sports bike too, but does not really have the power to be comfortable on the highway.

alcatraz, I have no experience with sport-bike sidecar rigs, but I understand that 1200 Bandits are readily available, simpler to mount and make exceptional tugs.

I have just (last month) had a new single Kenna mated to my goldwing 1500 SE. I'm currently using 60 lbs of ballast and I couldn't be happier. The Kenna comes from DMC, and they did the mounting too. Give it a try. Mike
