I agree on the Motorvation sidecar looking good. It also has a trunk, which is another plus. For my needs, however, it won't do because of the small cockpit opening. I like 'em, though.

It seems that the Sportster sidecar is no longer being offered by Liberty. The 562 Cruiser or 562 Tour fits nicely on the Sportys though.Another option for a retro look on the Drifters is the Motorvation Spyder. They have an Indian styled fender option for them that matches the Drifter/Indian fender shape.Lonnie

Lonnie, are the 562 Cruiser and the 562 Tour made by Liberty? I don't see any reference to them on the Liberty website.

The Dyna doesn't seem to be a good one for the job

I dunno about that... I had a Velorex hack on my '86 Sportster 1100 many years ago and it handled well, so the Dyna with its bigger engine and frame should be more than capable. I just happen to have an '06 Superglide that, thanks to my Ural, I can't stop myself from thinking about putting a hack on it. Thankfully, my finances won't allow for it at this point in time.

Anyway. I had a '99 Drifter 1500 a few years ago; I think it would make an excellent mount for a hack. I met a lady by the name of Sidecar Maggie a few months ago at the Ontario Southern Cruisers Rally. She has TWO Drifters with hacks - a 1500 and an 800. She was at the rally with her 800, it had a Liberty chair IIRC and it looked great.

Doggone it, there are so many good choices out there. Good to hear that the Sporty worked good. That certainly would indicate that the Dyna would work. I know HD did test the FXR for sidecars because a friend of mine bought one years ago on the word from HD that it was suitable for a sidecar.

Thanks for the tips on the Motorvations, but I have relatives that I wouldn't want to get stuck in that 20x24 opening. I can see myself riding them down to the fire station to get extracted. I do like the Motorvation Spyder, though.

Harley had a sidecar option for the FXRs.
Quite a few of the FXRT and FXRP models were equipt with a factory car.
Same car as the TLE only with different mounts.
