Jolly Roger 2 will be soon back on 3 wheels

Hello friends,
its a while ago I was able to lurk in here, something didn't permit me to enter this site.
Meanwhile I scratched quite a bit of mountain serpentines on Wendy as a 2 wheeler.
The boat of JollyRoger 2 I damaged in December with an electric gearmotor transport.
Yesterday we finished the negativ form for to make the new lower bowl of the Velorex 562. So I hope that in a couple of weeks the rig will be runing on 3 wheels again.
Somebody once told me the Velorex boat 562 would be made of carbon fibre,
dont believe that bull s...
The upper shell is plain simple fibreglass and the lower bowl is some stupid plastik without any reinforcement at all.
For my driving style and mountain trips into the rainforest definetely I am under motorized with just a 350 ccm 2 stroker, but the new boat will hopefully last after this remake, because we will reinforce and make it as strong as possible.
Best regards in your summer, we here have the rainy season strating with heavy floodings.

Sven,
There are several products on the market for repairing the plastic lower shell of the newer Velorex bodies. They will work quite well unless the part was crushed. The process is about the same as repairing fiberglass with a paste being applied and a carbon fiber or fiberglass material being added to the repair for a fibrous reinforcement.
Rick and Holly, a couple who own Diamond Lil's (heritage) Restaurant and Saloon in Idaho City near here have property in Costa Rica and winter there yearly since Idaho City gets snowed in during the winter. Both have 1100 cc Yamaha Viragos for transportation while there and enjoy their Costa Rican winters and our dry spring, summer and autumn. The best of both worlds as it were, since they miss your mud and flood season and our winter freeze.
Cheers,
Lonnie
