After getting and mounting my second sidecar, I figured I'd better join USCA. I sent in my check yesterday so I will be a new member in a couple of weeks hopefully.

I have read the forums and posted here quite a bit in the last year and have learned a lot from many of you.

I see that the sport is growing and hope to see more sidecarists in my neighborhood soon. I've picked out a name for a possible club here but so far, no one has beat down my door to make it official. "GOOFOFFS" is the name and it stands for "Gang Of Old Farts Owning Flying Fearsome Sidecars". Does anyone know where I can get patches made if I design a logo?

Good riding to all

Bout' time Bob.
Welcome to the club. You might check with the local high school and see who they use for their embroidry work in the athletic department.

It's official now. I am member number 7346. I guess that means that 7345 other guys and/or gals were crazy enough to mount a sidecar to their bike. This is just like joining the Skydiver Association of America. When I joined it back in 1980, there were maybe 17,000 dead or alive registered skydivers in America. This looks like an even more exclusive organization than that one. It also looks like it is growing so maybe I will have some fellow sidecarists to go ride with close by some day. Right now, the nearest one is a hundred miles away.

Just across the Chetco River from Brookings. Was my last station in the Coast Guard... Good place!
