try #2. Ok lost the first one I was trying to write.
Charles here a custom leather worker and new enthusiast to sidecars. Rode for many years, gave it up, had a heart attack two years ago. New bucket list get back on motorcycles. Well that worked for a month on a beautiful 78 Suzuki SP370, updated it, had low miles, and crunched my left knee the 2nd day in the woods. argghhh.
So found a unique sidecar, then had to find a bike to use it with. Yup the sidecar came before the bike. (Couldn't add a pic here, need tutorial.) The bike a really clean low mile 1981 Suzuki GS650. The sidecar late 70s to 81 Philippine Taxi Sidecar. Ugly but is so different had to have it.
You can see all manner of pictures on my Facebook pages Starship Condor
I traded that "knee Killer" for an old Jawa 560? or something else? and two frames a new KennaDMC w/wheel and a home build frame. Eventually will need another tub and two motorcycle's...sounds like fun huh! Probably a Yamaha Royal Star or Road Star, maybe a Kawasaki Vulcan. Whatever is a good bargain, not beat up, with more HP than a 650. Bigger is better!!
If your in this neck of the woods Pine Arizona send me a message. Go for a ride and grabba cuppa.

Yep, a motorcycle is just an accessory for the sidecar. Welcome to the offset sidecar world.
Looking forward to pics.

You're in for miles and miles of smiles.
Congratulations on joining us in this crazy off-center world of sidecars. A lot of us arrived here because of bad knees, balance problems etc. Once here, you can actually have fun. Enjoy yourself. Check out the sidecar motor-cross racing on you-tube. There are a lot of off road activities. Enjoy hacking.

Hi. I looked at pictures on FB. Where did you get the sidecar? I am interested in building something like it. Thanks.

Been out of the loop for a bit. Thanks to those that looked FB pages. There is a story on these Philippines Taxi sidecars. A fella had one on Craigslist, Mesa AZ. Too ugly not to have one. When I got to his place It was bought by someone that paid more than I would have too late. Rats. But don't fret we can go get more in El Cajon CA. OK emptied my cargo trailer. Off we went. There were parts to 5 but only enough parts to make one whole. I got that set. These were brought over to be used in a taxi service in Calif, well DMV said no way. So these been sitting around for about 40 years. We bought all he had left. The other 4 where sold before we could get past El Centro CA on the way back. two to Las Vegas and two to Lake Havasau City, there were not even close to being complete. Many people of all sorts stop me to take pics and video. Yup it is unique for sure. Nearly everyone start to walk by, turn do a double take and look. Charles traveling the southwest, Yuma for 2 more days, then off to the Slabs in Niland CA for a bit.
