I've been away for awhile dealing with some business issues but I'm back at it.

About two years ago I bought a Sprint sidecar from Hannigan to install on my BMW K1200s. It is a beautiful sidecar and i'd like to use it. However, the steering was so heavy that I had to order a front end from EZS via DMC.

The front end also looks to be a good piece of engineering. The problem is it came with zero instructions as to how to install it. After having and initial crack at it I had to set it aside and deal with the issues referred to earlier.

I started back at it a few months ago and it is a nightmare. The front end of the Beemer is the most Rub Goldberg set up I have ever dealt with. Additionally half the parts require some special BMW tool and are our fasten on with red locktight and 300nm of torque, okay maybe 150.

In any event I have the front end apart and I am trying to install the leading link forks and surprise, surprise it doesn't fit unless I remove the rubber shroud around the radiator.

I know there was one other front end like this sold. If your out there please help before I torch this thing.

Any other ideas would also be appreciated.

Thank you

PS the clutch on my Ural won't disengage. Both bike are down leaving me with am scooter only. I'm desperate.

Being a dry clutch in the Ural, if you cannot find anything wrong between the handlebar lever and the lever that pushes the rod into the transmission, that leaves only the throw out bearing. If my memory serves, this is a single ball bearing at the end of that push rod that goes into the tranny. Something has worn to shorten the amount that it can open the clutch. Since this means engine removal to see the inside parts, I would be really picky how I inspected the levers and cables and such to be absolutely certain that they are functioning correctly before beginning the big job.

The folks at EZS make high quality well engineered products. If yours doesn't fit it isn't the right part. Contact EZS DIRECTLY and ask your questions there.
