How to tow a disabled rig a short distance.
Got a ThunderMax efi installed on the bike and hauled it home yesterday. Some starter issues cropped up at the shop however and we drug the battery down a bit getting it loaded. I left it sitting in the trailer in the shop overnight. Should have hooked a charger up but didn't. Unloaded it in our icy yard this morning but ran out of battery before it started so I could pull into the bike room. Didn't have enough lead in my butt or traction even with crampons on my boots to push it. How do you tow a disabled rig on ice? This works.
High 5 - Tom! Dang that looks cold! gp
Shoulda been more clear about "shop". The shop that did the work was Vintage V-twin, an excellent shop. The shop I left it parked in is mine here at home... Not a big deal, I knew what I meant. Yep, Gail, we have lots of ice in the yard and snow in the forecast. Makes crampons worthwhile!!
Seems like last year you didn't even have snow. Stay warm., g
I don't know of one of those within two thousand miles of here, maybe further.

Oh, man, that's great!
Tom,
That new SE Tour Glide is looking closer all the time. Heh,Heh.
We're iced in here too. Only been out once this year so far.
Lonnie
I don't even want to think "new bike" Lonnie. Although it would have several advantages, I like my ride. And I've got so dang much more tied up in it than I could ever hope to recover, I better ride it till the end. Gail, you're right about no snow last year. Got tons of rain though.

We were iced over in VA last Friday but most was gone by the weekend. Dang that looks cold!
