How to price my HPS rig?

Hello all, It's been awhile (been out riding!) I'm hoping to get some advice on how to price my rig. It's a 2002 Suzuki Bandit 1200s with a Hannigan Bandito HPS (high performance sidecar) conversion. It has the full HPS bike conversion with the front suspension replaced with a single sided swingarm, hub center steering, automotive wheels/tires all around, etc. It's a bit of a unicorn as sidecar rigs go. Back in 2006 the bike conversion and sidecar installed was around 15K. A similar kit installed by Hannigan today is around 17K. Both prices do not include the bike. Now I realize that this was 12 years ago.. hence my dilemma. Given it is such a specialty, how to depreciate it? It has 24K on it and is in excellent condition. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't offer any help in the pricing but would like to say what a Sweet looking rig you have there.

I'd be happy with some pics, that's some really neat stuff there. In fact, I'd pay to ride it for a day, even. 🙂

Like anything else in life it is what ever the market will bare and how fast you want it sold. If not in a hurry start high, you can always come down. If in a hurry go low but not to low as low prices people often think some thing is wrong with it or there is a scam involved.

Thanks to all for your replies, comments and suggestions. The HPsidecars website is a great help. There are a couple of Bandit rigs on there that were sold, so I have a good idea now.

I'll be posting there as well as on this site in the near future.

Thanks again!

Just saw your thread in the Complete Rigs For Sale section and that's a screaming deal for the right buyer. The problem is finding the right buyer. HPS riders are few and far between. I myself would love to take your rig out and ride it hard for two weeks, but that would get it out of my system I think. Not to mention that I'd probably have to wait a year to get my license reinstated.

Tongue out

Have owned 5 rigs but Rig #2 is my current one!

All bike mods including the front suspension built and installed by David Hannigan and Bill Ballou
