I don't know if it's held the same week every year, but this year's Hoot is over and the 2009 Hoot is scheduled to be held from June 17 - 20.

Jillian,

Please tell my about your Hannigan GTL. I have an '06 GL 1800. I made the mistake of having a Dauntless Liberator installed on it, and as soon as I can get that piece of junk off my bike I'll be looking at replacing it with the GTL.

Mike

Re the GTL. Got one as part of an '07 turn-key rig by Hannigan. Love it! Just turned 16,000 miles (5,000 since we've owned it), mostly longish trips. The bride finds it very comfortable. The removable hardtop is a big plus. We have the "open concept" so the side curtains can be removed while the top is on. Eliminates the closed-in feeling of our previous Astro. 1st class set up job by Hannigan. Basically no negatives to the rig.

Spent last weekend at a 99% HD rally & feel like we got as much or more interest from folks than any bike there. Still getting over the feeling that I just escaped from a Mad Max movie, though.
