Hi, I am new to this list, I have a Duna side car from the 1950s I was going to put on my 1960s BMW. I never got it installed. It was restored when I purchased it. see the pictures. Not sure if I am a side car guy, I have a R100/2 frankenBMW.

Regards Craig

That would be a fine rig!! I was not sure I'd be a sidecar guy either in the beginning. My wife had decided to quit riding with me and I thought maybe she'd like the ride in a sidecar and I thought maybe my dog at that time would like it. Didn't think I'd like going from two wheels to three though. I bought a used Ural to find out. Barb had her mind made up. She tried it one week end. But Archie took to it like he was born in a sidecar and Doggles and I found a whole new thrill. For a couple years the Harley pretty much sat while we rode the Ural. After realizing I was hooked, I sold the Ural, my Kwik Kamp trailer and an old parts tractor and ordered the Liberty for the Harley. Many miles and a few dogs later, Petey and I still love to ride every chance we get!

That would be one cool looking rig! I love the jet intake nose. And the bike already has a link front suspension. That bike and that car were meant to be married!!

What a great looking rig that would make! I wasn't sure about the sidecar either, got it because of bad knees. Love it!!!

Bad knees - yep - and that sidehack would certainly make for a very nice setup - - -

Question for the Original Poster (OP), what is that leaver just above the rear lower mount? Is that a manual trim? Or is it maybe the "launch control" for your side missle? 😉

Hey Craig,

I found another Duna. Its attached to a 1960 Pannonia TLF Deluxe 250 motorcycle and is on display at the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa.
