I have a 2009 Vulcan 1700 Nomad with a Hannigan Astro GT sidecar. The mounts for my car were developed by Hannigan using my bike, as they had never mounted one of their cars on this new-for-2009 model before mine. While it is not the identical bike to yours, it is similar enough that you could probably get some ideas. It uses four mounts - upper and lower, front and back.

Unless you are extremely good at metal fabricating, I would recommend that you find a shop with the expertise to do this work.

Let me know if you would like some photos.

First, take a sidecar class if you can www.esc.org. What bike did the sidecar come off of? Califonia made a long frame and a short frame version of this sidecar. You will want bike specific mounts using a 4 point mounting system. We make mounts however I would need to see a photo of the side of your bike as there are many variables on the 1500 and 1600 Vulcan. We may also have triple tree's to lower the steering effort however we would need some messurments in order to work out if the ones we make will work on your bike. Kawasaki has made minor changes from year to year and model to model and as such with out the bike in the shop it can be difficult to work out which parts work. With a photo of what you have in the way of mounts I can let you know if any of the parts can be reused.
