Hello folks,

I'm new to the forum and sidecar ownership. Motor bikes have been part of my life starting at about 8 yo on a Cat Mini bike. I sold my last big road bike, a Yamaha road star, 4 years ago opting for a Honda Reflex 250 scooter which has been a blast. I ran into a pretty good deal that I couldn't pass up. A 2001 Kawasaki 1500 Drifter with a Motorvation Engineering Roadster side car. The bike only has 900 miles on it. After reading a lot of good info here, I took it for a test ride a week ago. Wow. How cool is that! I plan on taking it very easy while learning how to correctly handle the bike. I'd like to thank you all in advance for help and wisdom. I love all the avatars with your doggies in the side cars!

Mike O

Welcome Mike, I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. Course I'm a newb also, currently with under a thousand miles on my rig - but the month isn't over yet. It's only been on the road since the first of Feb. I'm having a blast with mine.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Here's a few pix's taken a week ago on my maiden voyage (poser alert).

It’s been a blast the past week. Side cars are very addictive! I also order up the original installation, maintenance and riding brochure's that did not come with the car. Thumbs up to Mary at Motivation Engineering answering some questions for me.

Nice rig. And great hack buddies. 🙂

Mike, I hope you don't mind that I edited your post so the pics would display.
