does anyone know if i can mount an '77 rle sidecar to my '02 Road King?

It can be done but it's not a straight bolt on. The RLEs and TLEs have different mounting systems and through the years all models have changed namely due to frame changes in the Harley line. The big twin FL Shovels changed frames in '84, the Evos in 95, '97 and again for the twin cams, For the Fxs, in '82 to the FXRs and '95 for the FXDs. Same looking cars with different mounts.
