Will a donation to, Motorcycle Hall of Fame, 13515 Yarmouth Dr., Pickerington, Ohio 43147 with a note in the memo section stating, "In memory of Hal Kendall," be used to help purchase the aforementioned permanent display in the Hall of Fame at the AMA?

I trust it will Esau. We plan to to the same.

I looks like the motion DIDN'T EVEN GET A SECOND! I'm really disappointed. If you want this to happen, contact your regional director and tell them that you want them to take action. If they still don't speak up, run for the BOD next year! We need folks on the BOD who are at least interested enough to discuss things and bring a motion to a vote.

I lost the connection.
At what stage are we on this project?
Sven
Hello Sven, cost of plaque $500
donations $300 as of 3 jan.
23 dec. Swampfox [Lee] SC director moved to have USCA pat $250 of cost.
Motion was not seconded. 4 Jan. Lee moved to have USCA pay to remaining $200.
Waiting for someone on the Board to step up to the plate and second it.

Fly, I'm thinking there are a lot of us who are not on the BOD who would second either of the motions...
Chuck whose idea this was originally, Al Olme and myself are all former Board members.

There are a lot of members who would make the second but the process requires a member of the BOD to make the second. Contact your Regional Director and ask them to make the second.
Just sent him an e-mail saying lets get this done!!
I will second the motion. Hal Kendall did a lot for the USCA and I think he deserves recognition. I am sending my check for $25 in the morning.

It appears that the outstanding amount will be less than $200. I left home (FL) on Dec 25th and didn't return until a couple of days ago. Depending on where my wife dropped off the out-going snail mail, I'm pretty sure my check wasn't in the accounting at the museum. With DIrvine's check, that would drop the outstanding balance to $150 at most. I should hope that given all Mr. Kendall has done for the industry, there will be more checks in his memory donated to the museum over time. I don't know how long a wait should be allocated, but perhaps someone more familiar with this sort of thing could suggest an appropriate time table. I also don't know if there is a window where a cut-off by the museum would deny the honor shown to Mr. Kendall by it being closed even if they eventually received the appropriate amount.
The plaques are prepared quarterly so we have until the end of March to have it included in the first quarter of 2014. It remains open until the $500 is reached.
