hack trailer
I have been looking for an enclosed lightweight trailer for carrying my 1978 Harley FLH with Liberty car. None found that are wide enough inside without going to a huge trailer. Any brand suggestions or should I look into a made to order/custom trailer?
As you are in Boise, I bet you will be able to find a 2 place snowmobile trailer. They work well for rigs.

Mike,
Some of the landscaper trailers will work and some have low decks for getting mowers on and off. Most of the snowmobile trailers are high deck and the tilt ones aren't easy loaders for your low clearance sidecar rig.

Hi Mike, a friend of mine has a clam shell type trailer for his rig. I don't know what brand or where he found it but it works well for him and has a much lower profile than a normal enclosed trailer. When I bought my trailer, I wanted it as narrow as possible that the bike would still fit in. The reason was so I'd have more of a view behind through the mirrors on my pickup. Faulty reasoning I now believe. I got a 7' wide trailer. My Harley/Liberty rig does fit but barely. I have to put slack in the cables that lift the ramp door and hang them out of the way, then be very careful to be exactly centered in the door opening and then I'm very limited getting off the bike and moving around to tie it down. 20-20 hindsight. And I've spent the money for a tent that snaps on the back of the trailer with the ramp on jack stands for a "poor man's RV". That part works well but in a way keeps me from trading this one for a wider one. I still prefer to ride the rig to rallies and tow my small cargo trailer with it. Not always possible though. Just rolled it over to 117,000 though so it hasn't always seen the inside of a trailer....
