Is there going to be a Rally at Griffith Park (Los Angeles) in October? If so, is this a gathering/show or is there agenda? I am thinking of attending.

Thanks

35th Annual this year! Doug has a dinner organized for Saturday night and the "show" will be on Sunday. That's the extent of the agenda. Check with him to see if you can get pre-paid for the saturday dinner.

See you there!

The Griffith Park Rally is like no other... There are usually 200+ sidecar rigs, and they come in all shapes and sizes. There is practically every combination of rig imaginable, from miniature homemade, to authentic restorations, to desert racers, to sleek customized luxury liners. Last year there was an old beautiful BSA with a working boat (including outboard motor) on show. I heard that Scott Whitney will be there with the VRod rig he rode in the Dakar last year. The Sunday entry fee for a rig is $10.00. Spectators are free. There are no rides, or events, because the rally is about looking and talking. The interaction between spectator and sidecarist is amazingly delightful, as is the camaraderie amongst fellow sidecarists. Everybody looks at everybody's rig. ... From the looks of your rig picture, you will have many people admiring yours. Come on Down!
VP Steve, and I look forward to meeting you. See ya at the rally.. Gail, USCA CA Rep.
