greetings from as far east in michigan you can get
just bought my first ever goldwing and i did because this particular bike has a California Sidecars, sidecar...
our daughter has had inner ear problems from birth that made just sitting on a regular bike uncomfortable for her and my wife's knee replacements didnt work on a regular bike either so we jumped on this baby last weekend...
1994 1500 SE...
im getting the hang of the whole thing and while its nice to have my daughter on board (wife hasnt ridden with us yet) the straight ahead, uninspiring ride has left me rather sedated...
were going on a 100-120 mile ride tomorrow so i hope things get better...
Try some decreasing radius turns and you will become UN-SEDATED in a hurry. Do it alone though. Have fun! 🙂
I'd suggest not getting too aggressive until you have a lot of sidehack saddle time. There's a lot to unlearn and muscle memory can be your enemy in a decreasing radius right hander. A sidecar rig and an oncoming vehicle don't fit well in the same lane and it can happen very quickly.
A decreasing radius left (especially downhill) can capsize a rig also if you go in too hot.
(If it doesn't have reduced trail your sore shoulders will wake you up.)

Please practice without passengers!
With everyone there is a learning curve - If your family is precious, they don't need to be there when you are learning about "inspiration".
Good Luck and SAFE riding to you.

went on a 125 mile ride today...
not a lot of twists or turns (michigan has a lot of farm land in the thumb) and there were no surprises along the way other than hitting what very well have might been a tornado on the way home...
we took refuge on the back side of a gas station (the overhead was much too high to do any good from the rain) and the wind and the rain were coming in off the lake, sideways...
now the rig is dirty and in need of a wash :o:-(
