Has anyone done a scavenger hunt on motorcycles/sidecar!! I am volunteering with this event (all volunteer) www.mountainsmusicmotorcycles.org
We are looking for something to add! A scavenger hunt was suggested... the idea was to get pictures of different things around the area.... signs, historic markers...

Non of us have done one and would like input!!!! pros - cons!?!?!

Yes, I've done several scavenger hunts. I'm not sure just pictures would work very well but maybe with digital cameras it could . Usually you bring back an item from each place or look for items from a list. With a little ground work you can give stores, museums, etc. a rubber stamp and have a card stamped at each place. Businesses love to have the traffic and potential sales.

Smith8833, I haven't done any scavenger hunts, so I'm not that familiar with the concept.  Here's some sources for ideas:

I do participate in the Two Wheeled Texans' Where am I? [in Texas] game; you can see my latest posts beginning at post #7589 on page 380 here (sidecar content included): http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25678&page=380

TWT has Texas Tag and Texas Scavenger Hunt -- you should find 'em here:    http://www.twtex.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=109   You will also see posts of Texas Farm-to-Market Roads in sequential order where I've posted 4 out of 2013 thus far (no sidecar content tho - I was too slow to post).

We do a lot of historical marker runs. Locate the marker and find specific info asked for on question sheet. Example, What year was Wheeler springs community founded. Can be a lot of fun in a new area for you. J.R. Texas state rep.

I participate in Photo Scavenger Hunts on a couple motorcycle forums. Instead of it being a single day/weekend gathering at a specific location, it's an on-going, global hunt. Someone names a "mark" that has global appeal. The person who finds it and posts the picture to the forum wins the right to name the next mark, in addition to respect and aclaim from his/her global riding buddies of course!

I'm will start a game photo scavenger game in a new thread. Or maybe I should call it photo tag? Oh, well, it should be simple. And fun.
