PS: Google the title. It was made into a film in 1993 and Amazon has copies of the book.

Tom. Great looking dog. I can just tell he is going to be a real treasure. You both are blessed to have found each other.

Labradoodle what a good race...I like that word creation...larger poodles I have known were play kids for ever. The labradors were/are loyal and excellent defenders. Together with that face, hey Tom, I guess you made a good choice. The animal picks you normally at an age of 9 to 18 month. Just take care that he does not start to rob the neighbours chicken, then you should have a good base for a long friendship with a unique house habitant and fore sure he wil love to stick his nose into the wind.
So give a pet to my namesake and God bless you 3.
Sven

Thanks Sven Peter Pan... Now the expression "Oh, for the love of Pete!" takes on new meaning. Won't be a problem keeping him out of the neighbors chickens. We don't have any close neighbors and Henry was more likely to wander that far than Pete ever will. (Famous last words.) So far Pete sticks right with me. Henry was an independant thinker and inclined to head off in his own direction. Pete is not nearly as rambunctious as Henry was. Or as muscle bound.

Hi Tom, so sorry to hear about Henry but it looks like you've got a real "Buddy" there in Pete. We'll be eager to meet him.

Standard Poodles can be some of the best guard dogs around. Loyal to the family, protective without being vicious.
You made an exellent choice..Ride on!!
