Wondering if anyone has any experience with them? Sounds like there is always alot of 'fitting' that needs to be done with these. How is dneprworld as a retailer?

Would this be a good sidecar for a 1983 R80RT?

Sorry for so many questions at once, just trying to figure a few things out. Thanks

The Dnepr needs a little upgrading to work well.
With the /2 fittings you will need a sub-frame (not Yuri's mounts). Probably a better wheel and some cosmetics like body work, upholstery and possibly some rewelding may be needed on the chassis.
They work fine after some finessing.
As a retailer his record is good, as far as tech support...................

The things Lonnie says are pretty much true of any Dnepr, Chaing, or older Ural. These things were all built more for function than form. Each of these will require the same subframe or sidecar modification to fit the bike. dings, dents, and bad welds are mostly hit and miss. some have them and some don't. Same goes for upholstery. The seats are plain jane but comfortable, but they are butt ugly. They look like what they are, a piece of fabric stretched over a wooden frame, no fancy welts or stitching.
I'll be in Watertown from 3/31-4/3 if you want to see my Ural up close.

Dnepr sidecars are good, solid cars at bargain prices as long as you realize you will have to strip and repaint the body, replace the wheel bearings (no real biggie) and, last but not least, ditch the OEM wheel rim and re-lace the hub with a rim that is actually round (this is a biggie)! BTDT.

Yuri's reputation on simple sidecar deals is not that checkered. Buy one of his notorious "kit bikes" and be ready to buy stock in Pepto Bismol. You'll need it!
