I bought a Dnepr sidecar from Dnepr world that I'd consider selling. It was a little rougher than I expected, regarding paint and bodywork, but it was sound. I was not impressed with the windshield, it was just a sheet of plexi and a mounting kit. I bought it a few years ago for my BMW R51/3. I'm thinking about replacing it with an antique.

I have a question about the Dnepr wheel on the sidecar. Is it interchangeable with that of a Ural sidecar wheel?
If there is a need to know the age of the sidecar, how can one tell?
The URAL wheel is a favored replacement for the Dnepr wheel. They slide right on and are concentric and of much better quality.

Yes.

I guy from the Wisconsin DMV once told me that if it hasn't been altered, a Ural went to square turn signals in 1987 but Dnepr stayed with round until '91. But, of course, they just bolt on so there's no real way to know. My Ural has an I.D. tag on the inside of the left, just below the windshield, but it's the only tag like this I've ever seen.
