Greg Benner, I see by your signature line that you have a DL1000/Ural rig. I would to get some information from you if you don't mind, such as pictues of the mounts and sub frame, how well it works and have you used it on dirt and back roads much?
Thanks

Hi Bob:
Greg is on his way to Alaska - see post "Alaska" in general discussion..

By the way, some on the WEST site are wondering about your CO trip.

Gail, I saw that after I had posted so dumb me. We have not put together anything on our trip yet so we will sit down in the next couple of days and do that. We will post it on USCA West.
How is your and Larry's summer going? I have seen some very hot temperatures in southern Cal. I hope you two are staying cool.

Later

Bob

Bob, be happy to give you any info/input i can, what is your timing?

I am a terrible typist, might be easier to talk live?

I will actually be in Alaska next Monday (I think) and then cell coverage is essentially free (I am roaming while in Canada).

Also,we plan to get home August 28 or so.

I am generally pretty happy with it, although the Goldwing does a better job at what I now know i want to do with a rig, i.e. take long trips, with Connie.

Accordingly, I don't use it that much anymore. Not too much off road since Connie has a neck injury, and I have a 1200GS and a Honda XR400 for when alone.

If you want to talk live, either post or PM me your phone # and I'll call next week.....

I will send pics when I return, could also take more. I took some detail pics when we added the swaybar.

I check e mail every night, assuming out campsite (the hotel) has internet.

No hurry, Greg. I will talk to you when you return home. I doubt that I put a sidecar on the DL, I was mostly curious about the subframe. Enjoy your trip and I will contact you in September.
