Administrators, et al.
I've had difficulties with opening and posting to this site recently. Sometimes I will get the Windows message that the website can't be opened and other times, it will open and when I attempt to post to a thread, I get a message that there is an error.
Obviously, it's working at this time since I'm able to post now but it's not consistent. The problem exists for me only on this site and is noticed on two separate computers.
Am I the only one who notices this?

Could it be that the server is approaching its maximum capacity? That's only a guess.......
Hooray! Today I get to see the forum!
I'm increasingly unable to access the forum. I know that we have this farmed out to a service but maybe we should look at a different provider. I can't think of the last time I got denied access to SCT or even to our own business sites which are MUCH smaller than Sidecar.com.

I agree with all of you. Even here in Germany I have the same problems frequently but only with this site. Up to now I have not found any solution.
Well, I seem to be able to get on right now but it was not working at all this morning.
It's nice to know that others notice the problem. Misery loves company, they say. LOL.
I think they may need to investigate a different server. Just my H.O., however.
I've tried several times today to get on. Finally worked just now for the first time. Happens regularly but usually doesn't take this long. Don't recall just what the error message says but something about exceeded capacity. OK, 'nuff said. Time to go read what's new...
In the last two weeks I was forced several time to copy my own posts that didn't want to go out and a few times send them up to a couple hours later.
The download site works, the chat room supposed to work too... but I never have met anybody there.
Anyhow chatting fuzzed me too much in earlier occasions. Even before you answered a question comes a new post of a complete other theme. so better be patient and post in the regular forum or pick up the phone for a fast question.

I was able now to send a post after 20 hours waiting.
always came this error message:

Sorry but since 1986 I do not like the products of this company (Du Meine Scheisse, schon wieder!)(same as Autocad that never was able to join lines well for CNC programming)
In 2004 after 7 system break downs in 1 1/2 hours that destroyed the result of 30 working hours, I wasn't even able to execute the famous order:

Linux in the first year was VERY nasty too, but since then It failed perhaps just 5 times, what before sometimes happened per day.
At this moment my patience with the sidecar.forum's server is put under a pretty stress. So I prefer to go on "sending pause" for a while and stick my nose into my own work.

I couldn't get on this morning for several hours. It appears to be cyclical. Someone should look into it. I'm surprised that no one in the administration has come on to talk about the issue....
Like Peter Pan, what I do now is simply copy anything that I write before I send it since I've had several long posts swallowed up recently. It's too time-consuming to redo them so sometimes I just give up. I'll copy this now and try to send it.
They should fix this list since it's the best one for sidecars on the internet.
I can usually get onto the homepage but the forum portion of the site can be an issue. Sometimes if I go to the homepage first then from there I can get to the forum.....go figure. I am about as computer literate as an old boot.
Sometimes I post and th epost does not go anywhere.

Yeah. I get that message all the time. I also have to wair 30 seconds to a minute to open a thread to make a reply and sometimes another minute to get it to save.
Do administrators read these threads?
I think we probably know more about these problems than you want to hear. We have been working on a forum upgrade and a new hosting service has been acquired.
This forum software is from 2003 so it, along with the process of moving stuff is causing some of the problems but the hosting service sucks too. It should be a lot better soon.
