California Friendship 3?

Hi, I'm looking at a Friendship 3 sidecar somewhat locally. I was wondering if any of you guys have experience with one? Are there any problem areas to look for when checking out a used one?

What would be a good tug for it? It was previously on a Harley Ultra Classic, so I assume it is not the long frame version, but how do I tell for sure? I was thinking maybe a Bandit 1200/1250, as they can be found fairly inexpensively. The ideal tug would be fairly inexpensive and easy to mount, and a bit more low end torque (and/or more easily re-geared) than my 1150GS rig.
