While you are there, ask if they are going to have another campout next year.

Sidecar Mike didn't I camp near you and your wife a couple year ago at a gray beard (motoGuzzi)Guzzi ralley in Wis.. I had a Harley and on Sunday of the ralley I left for Sturgis S.D I watched a movie in your sidecar( Guzzi with a Ural sidecar) on Sat nite. I really had a good time. I was out about 2 weeks that time. dHad to go to Yellow Stone after Sturgis. I think I got wet more than once that trip.Rudy

No, I'm guessing you're thinking of Kim Schick. He has a black Ambassador with a Ural car. I would have been at the same rally, at Lake Joy a week or so before Sturgis, but either with a Valkyrie with Ural sidecar, or a Guzzi EV with a Motorvation car.

I'm built about like Kim, and the same age, but I'm much better looking. 🙂

I told the guys that I will always be a member and will always be there, even if my EV sells.

You have talked me into it for next year that's the weekend befor Sturgis. The last time I went that's how it was. When I left their I didn't get 40 miles and had to put on my rain suit, wore it to LaCross. then I made it to Chamberline S.D. camped(I like Chamberlin a lot really nice camp ground). Next day had to wear my rain suit agein and wait out a storm but got to Sturgis that afternoon.Rudy

I'll be there on my Goldwing. Hopefully, with a sidecar of some sort attached. Usually, I come in on Thursday and end up at or near site 41.

My bunk house is home by itself it's not much pull on the Harley, except at 15 to20 with gust at 30 MPH. Had to run 5 th gear(gas milage then 30mph). After the wind 36 mph. Now no sidecar on the Harley. Boy it was cold up and back. 12 hr. driveing time up 13 back. Rudy

I have found the best solution for cold hands to be: http://www.cabelas.com/catalog/search.cmd?form_state=searchForm&N=0&fsch=true&Ntk=AllProducts&Ntt=atv+mitt&x=14&y=6

I rode last week when the temp was 18* F with summer weight mesh gloves. My hands were toasty warm. I do have grip heaters so that's a help but not having ANY wind or rain/snow hitting your hands makes a huge difference.

I did modify the left mitt by adding a 5" tall piece of sailcloth to allow use of the radio/cd player controls.
