I'm looking at a Bonneville T100 (2006, 3000 miles, $6000).
The sidecar I'm looking at is the R71 replica that's being sold on ebay.

I only want a sidecar so that I can take my dog touring once per year. The rest of the year I would be running on two wheels. Does this sound like a smart idea?

If your dog enjoys riding in the sidecar it seems to me you'll have a hard time limiting him to once a year!

If you have the what with to adapt the sidecar to the Trump it will make a good combo.

Didn't see anything following the link.
The sidecar comes with /2 BMW mounts there are no mounts on the bike to accomodate sidecars. There are vendors of sub-frames and mounts at this site and several installers. Most of whom will supply free information or advice on completing your combo. Also the books listed on the home page can be downloaded for further information.

Welcome to the madness,

I suspect that the sidecar is a Chinese sidecar. We use to import the Chinese sidecars. Some were fair quality. Some were poor. We had one brought to our shop that was purchased off of the internet. We mounted it for the customer. He had the welds on the sidecar frame fail. We found that the manifacture had bondod the welds to make them look ok.
So if you buy it be sure to check the welds.
