BMW R65 and Velorex 562
Any one know if this has been done? I am putting together a flat bed, no body, as a "stuff" hauler, using a 562 frame I aquired and a 2' x 5' box frame. Any specific information on track, lead, attachment points, added weight, etc., would be appreciated. Any information at all would help.
I have visited SCT on Yahoo groups and received some very good information from those folks, but more heads are more better.
I'm making all the struts, eyebolts, mounts and clevises, a subframe and connecting across to the opposite side frame where ever I can, and any help in that area would be welcome.
I see lots of pictures of hacks running around attached to only one side and have read of only one cracked frame, but transfering the loads seems to be good engineering and design, although I have no way of measuring if or how the load is transfered or even if it is transfered evenly. Any help in this area would be appreciated also.
Thanks for any information. Enjoy your toy JJones
A good start would be to download some of Hal Kendall's books from this site or get the CDs. Expressly, "Riding With a Sidecar".
