First I'd like to thank everyone for their opinions. I got the bike back from the painter on Friday and spent the weekend reassembling it. I also added a Hawg Halter 4 degree raked triple tree. This allows me still ride the bike with two wheels while making steering the hack easier. I'm still deciding if I want to add a damper since it is so much more responsive. I am having my spare axle turned down to 3/4" the full length and I have a laced front wheel all ready to put on to finish the project. Here are a few pictures in the meantime.
