FA question for those with a frame mounted fairing.
Have you found it advantageous to use fork mounted lights for illumination around turns & curves?
I have a pair of Hella FF50's mounted on my fairing that could be moved to the forks.

Hi Bob,
The PIAA lights on my BMW are mounted under the fairing below the head light. Seems to work fine. I have seen the lights mounted on plates fastened at the calipers on the forks. Since the forks do not really turn much on a solo bike while riding, I can't see that it would make much difference either way? With a hack, the forks may turn a little more and your bike won't be leaning so you bring up an interesting thought. Lets see what others have to say.

BTW, that is a great looking rig, tell us more about it.

Thanks Bill,
'04 K12RS with a Hannigan Conde Classic car. Found the car used about 60 miles from Hannigan's shop. Since I had to get all the brackets and mounts for this bike, I had Hannigan do the install, along with the Steerlite fork mod.

I've ordered a handlebar conversion kit from Spiegler to change to a wider tubular bar, the RS bars are very narrow.
Have about 200 miles on it so far, really like it, as does the wife! I'm returning to a sidecar after 30 years, been practicing and taking a S/TEP class the end of the month.

I've got both BMW Adaptive Headlight system and caliper mounted Motolites. Between both I can see like daylight even in the darkest back country turns.

I went ahead and bought three LED's and a dimmer from ADVMonster. Mounted two on the fork legs and replaced the anemic light that was in the sidecar.
Pic1: Made these brackets for the fork legs.
Pic 2: In the garage the sidecar light is full strength, the fork lights are about 30%.
Pic 3: The tiny dot in the center of the lane is a street sign 1/2 mile away, all LED's at full power.
I now have nice lighting in front of the bike and well light when turning.
