Lee,
Any particular reason for the Ranger over the standard other than the larger passenger area?

Not only is the Ranger seat 4 inches wider, but the seat back is also a little taller, and I preferred the fit/feel. Oh yeah, we had the opportunity to visit Texas Sidecars before ordering. Also, passenger space in the Ranger is considerably more in the Ranger. For instance, my brother at 220+lbs would have to sqeeeeze into the Standard. And the Ranger holds more stuff too. For comparison, there are pics of both our Ranger rigs in the albums.

I've put my black ranger on my black 03 Triumph America and they or a really a good match. I'm going to maybe drop one tooth on the sprocket, but frist I'm going to put a biger pilot jet in and see what happeins. Yesterday I was coming down the freeway about 70 MPH and I noticed how much wind I'm getting from the sidecar windsheild, off it came when I got home. I've had just enouft pull to the right I've thought about a tree mod. But today when I rode it to work no really pull. I really like it I'm going to put a small windsheild on the sidecar because a windsheld lookes cool(ha, ha) I don't carry anything in the sidecar but a suitcase anyway.Rudyr

Mark, did you order black or white? Or painted?
Rudyr, we have short windshields on both our Rangers, which not only look better in my opinion, but there's also minimal turbulence to the driver. Ours is positioned for the passenger to wear a 3/4/full helmet with a face shield, with smooth airflow kinda directed into the forehead vents. Better in Southern summers.

Thank you Lee. I will call Texas today, may cut my down well see how much. Queston how much air presser in the sidecar tire for the ranger I've been putting 32 lbs. Coming down your way kinda Homer La. Those gray beards(moto guzzi) or having a ralley at a camp grounds, free camping just but buy your drinks from them, Come on over, my boy is working down below you about 50 miles. He is a pipeliner, will be going to see him in a couple weeks my wife sayes. Also I'm sure he will want me to bring him his Fat Boy.Rudyr
It will be black....Here is my wife's bike (which will have the sidecar). Will probably color match the sidecar sometime after we receive and install....
WildThing: The few issues i had, may have been my fault. So dont get me wrong i like the Texas Sidecar and they are really nice to work with. I did as i said find the instructions[ i received ]where for a Dyna. They send you two bars that connect the bike to the car. One is curved and one is straight. What is not in the instruction setup is which one is front and back. They both will go front and back. The curved one is the front though. The frame mounts i received are nothing like the ones in the instructions but are easy to figure out how they go.The front frame mount they instructed to go as far forward as you can.I could not do this because of clearance and would make the mount hang only 1/2 inch fromt the ground so i moved it back about 2 inches and it worked out great. The sider tubes This is where i think everyone has different opinions like the steering dampner. The adjust tubes are what every they are called face to back of bike on the rear and front faces front.I went 600 miles without one.I could have lived without it. But for hundred bucks i put one on.It took a little shake out so what can i say.Everybody sets it up to match what they feel is good.I have 1/2 toe in {started with 2 inche}and 1 degree lean [started with 2.5 degree}.I run 40 lbs air in front tire. Car is level side to side but i lifted the front of the car about a inch{started with car level side to side and back to back}.I have 8 inches of trail{started with 12inches}.I do not think i am going to rake the triple tree. This is after changing all these over and over to find what works best for my Harley Softail. I think you will be a lot happy with the Ranger and happy with Texas Sidecar Randy PS Sorry about any typing errors it is like 430 in the morning here. GOOD LUCK

Rudyr, can't make it up to Homer this weekend as we're heading the Texas hill country around Kerrville this weekend, not by sidecar tho, in convertible car. Yep, lot's of pipeline work in our area -- maybe we can grab breakfast/lunch then. /Lee

I'd suggest dropping the sidecar air pressure down to 26 or28PSI with that car tire. They're made to carry a lot more weight than one half of a sidehack.
Might just smooth out the ride.
Lonnie

Hey rudyr: We generally run low 20's in our sidecars with no passenger, but with maybe 75lbs of ballast, luggage, cooler, dog, etc.
