I just picked up a Ural sidecar and have been thinking about a 1500 Wing for it. Anybody have a picture of that combination so I can see how it would look.
I love the Valkyrie, but I miss the quiet.

We have mounted them on the GL1200 and make bolt on mounts for the GL1500 as well as an automotive tire for the rear of the GL1500. I see no reason a Ural could not be mounted on one. We are the Ural sidecar importer and have the sidecars built for us with an adjustable lower front mount which makes it easier to mount the Ural sidecar on other bikes. If your Ural does not have an adjustable front lower mount then you will need to weld one on which we can supply.
We have many other sidecars that will work with the GL1500 including our Kenna ($2495) to our Liberator which has a sidecar wheel that steers with the front wheel of the bike ($10,000)

I already have the sidecar, Jay. I'm just thinking about the bike. I did your mod to the Dnepr before we put it on the Valkyrie. I'd like to see a photo of one on a big Wing before I decide.

Don't worry Claude. I don't plan on losing the Valk. Just need a project like the rest of you guys.

Mike,
See pix of a '99 GL1500/URAL Classic at Hack'ns Hacks/More Yet album here. I finished that rig last month. Nice combo.

That's what I was looking for. Thanks Lonnie, it really looks good.
I'm picking the sidecar up tomorrow. Guess I need to sell my SuperCrew and start looking for a GL1500. Anybody out there want to buy my truck?

Is there a mounting system out there that will allow me to keep the sidecar in it's current configuration? I might want to add this to an old BMW someday so I'd rather not cut off the ball socket..

If not Mike one can certainly be made up. Come on down to Pa. 🙂
...betcha Kevin can get er done for ya too. With some tubing and a little fab work the sky's the limit.

Mike,
If you use the weld-on front mount that is the same size as the Ural frame the slip-in URAL collet mount can be used (It's the same one that is used as the adjustable rear collet mount on the later URALS).
I have several of the collet mounts in stock. Not the weld on clamp though.

We can supply you with a weld on front clamp sized the same as Ural if you want. That way you could still use stock Ural camps to mount to a BMW latter on.

You and Lonnie each mention a weld on mount. I weld this to the Goldwing?

You cut off the non-adjustable front URAL collet mount and weld the new clamp fixture in it's place. Result is an adjustable front and an adjustable rear collet mount in original URAL positions using OEM collets.
