Hey Swampfox
Question ...On your Progressive shock on your Texas sidecar
where do you set spring tension adjuster, say riding with no passenger and about 100lb of ballast in S/C?? ..... I`ve been keeping mine on the "soft " end of adjustment......but I think with it being new, shock tends to hang up....compressed position......have you had this problem??
I have tried lubricating swingarm pivot etc: and thanks for info: on tire pressure

Mike, we have two different shocks on our two Texas sidecars, but I don't recall which models or spring rates without looking. We generally adjust our shocks to #2 when traveling without a passenger, which is ballast + dog + luggage of 40lbs up to 80lbs. With larger child to smaller adult we adjust to #3, and up to #4 with a larger adult. If Santa needs a ride tomorrow, we might need #5. Our rigs are sensitive to proper pre-load to weight.

The shock on Jena's Burgman rig occasionally hang-ups as you mention. I have thought about it, but haven't studied on it yet. If you're interested,I have an email saved from Bob w/Texas Sidecars re: spring rates and such. Let me know if you'd like a copy.
