A hack of unknown origins.
I need help identifying this used sidecar I bought for my GL1000. It's going to be perfect for the kids, if I just knew what it was. I need to buy or build mounts as the previous owner has no memory (period).
Thanks,
Scott
it looks to be a Saliki made by touchstone producta in England. weight was about 175lbs...........fly
Spelled Saluki....I think Norm Pottruf has one.

Thanks Guys, Now I know what it is, I spent all night looking for pics or diagrams on the net. No luck. Lots of pics of the car, none of the mounts. If anyone has one of these I'd really appreciate some pics of the mounting connections to the bike, as I have to make these from scratch. I'm especially concerned about the fact that both rear arms a horizontal on my car and don't afford any option to raise one to a higher mounting point. I thought you had to mount two lower arms at 90deg to the bike and two uppers at opposing angles.
Hackdaddy, you might check with Mike Marston in Auburn. He is a pretty knowlegable hack guy and a fine fabricator. He does, however, have a "personality".
Maybe it was originally a leaner. In that case it would only use two mounts .

hackdaddy, i just read a blurb about a saluki in a usca sidecar catalog dating from 1987 -1988, edited by past president of usca hal kendall, no mention of mountings. good luck.
In the video it looks like it has a 3 point mounting system. I had a Gemini sidecar at one time that mounted the same way.
