I know a gentleman who has one, located in northern Florida. Send me a message at roger.c.ellis@gmail.com and I will put you two in touch with each other.

I have a '07 GL/GTL purchased as a turn-key rig from Hannigan, 29,000 trouble free miles so far. Great highway rig. Drove it to the national in Lake Tahoe last year. 7,000 miles in 3 1/2 weeks. Will cruise comfortably all day at 75 mph.

We have a 2005 GL1800 with GTL sidecar. It is a true mile eater when called upon to do so and a very comfortable ride for both driver and passenger.
Jack wrote about his similar outfit:>>Will cruise comfortably all day at 75 mph.<<
Frankly thees types of outfits will cruise at well over 75 mph and never complain. They are also not too shabby at all in the twisties for such a large rig.
The stock 16" rear wheel will receive a 195 car tire with no additional modifications which is a good thing. Reports of over 30,000 miles on the rear tire are common. Not bad for a 100 dollar tire with no wheel conversion costs.
We are a Hannigan dealer here in central Pa just to clear the air. However, what I have written here is not biased by that but just simple facts 🙂

Well, I bought this rig Sunday evening and have put a tank of gas in it every day since. I need to get used to hacking, we have 2 "Ride for Kids" coming up. July 24th in Marysville, Oh and the following weekend in Hudson Valley, NY on August 1. Then 3 more to follow in Asheville, Philly and Washington DC. This is what we bought the rig for, riding kids. I didn't like it at first, the handling freaked me out compared to my 2 wheels I'm used to. I soon adjusted and learned the rig and it's characteristics. I'd still like to take a course some day if it's near me. I feel comfortable and confident enough, but any extra lessons is gravy.
It's a blast and I must say, the Hannigans are very kind, big hearted, genuine people, aren't they? I've already contacted them about something and they are the best !!!

Claude, I just noticed you have a free sidecar training video download,,,,guess where I'm heading now ???
Peace !

And when I return from these 2 rides, I'm having all 3 wheels powder coated and a new car tire put on the rear bike wheel. What size/brand is the absolute best? I think I'll get a new hack tire too while I'm at it.

If you're switching out the front tire on the bike, consider a Bridgestone Battle Axe BT45R (rear tire) in, I believe, 130/70 18. Don't be fooled by the "R". It stands for "rear" not radial. This is a bias ply tire. It will give you 2-3 times the mileage of a normal Wing front tire. I think it improves handling, too. As Claude says - the car tire (I'm running a Dunlop Direzza) will give excellent mileage.
