1974 Velorex 560
I just acquired a Velorex 560 sidecar. Trying to figure out what it's worth. It is in good shape a few scratches
Has all internal panels, floor mats, seat and back cushions. I believe the cushions are original but there are split seams.
The windshield is broken but all the hardware is there. Have the key to the lock behind the backrest. The lock catch is missing from the backrest. The sidecar was attached to a BMW R90/6. Any idea what it's worth?
Looks like a nice vintage unit with upgraded mounts. Should bring $2K.

Thank you for the sidecar value information

About a thousand. It has the wimpy 15mm axle.
There are many early 15mm axle Velorex's mounted to early touring GL's and other large bikes (with ballast).
In the last 25 years I know of only 2 bent 15mm axles on Velos. Both were from running into curbs. They are made of strong steel. The main problems with the early 560/562/700 Velorex's is the lack of a suspension that will support a heavy bike and using the Universal mounts. Both are easily surmounted with retrofitting.
I'm not recommending small sidecar/big bike conversions, but there are a lot of them out there on the roads.
