What i have is a 2003 BMW K1200RS + Hannigan wide sidecar. I bought it during the Covid times and when the boys were littles and could fit together in the sidecar. I looked all over US for 3-4 years at the time to get a sidecar that not home built and safe for me to ride with my kids.

The previous owner, bought the bike new in Dallas, and with 0 miles took it to Hannigan factory to have them set it up with color matched sidecar. The tires are car tires for both the bike and the sidecar rig. There are all the necessary dampner to make this bike drive like a dream. Also has hydraulic lift for adjusting the height of the sidecar with who sits in it. For example the weight of one adult vs the weight of a child, once setup there is no drag on the bike while riding. The sidecar is connected with quick disconnects to remove it from the bike, however i never tried removing it.

History: The initial years for the sidecar was used by the previous owner to travel with his dogs, and then after some point it was just stored and not used. When i got it had arnd 18,000 miles on it, and i added 1500more arnd 20,000 miles right now. I took it to local state highway once with my friend (adult male 180 pounds) and we did 70mph with no issue at all. Other than this one time, i have always used this rig for ice cream and baseball drops 🙂
When i got the sidecar, it had dog hairs in the sidecar, since i am allergic to dogs, i took a lint remover and made sure every last hair was gone.

Maintenance: Took the bike to a local BMW/Suzuki mechanic, spent $500 to change all the fluids in the bike. The mechanic rode the sidecar rig and complimented that he has never ridden a rig this well setup.

Reason for Selling: The boys are big now, and I hardly use it. Always garaged.

Summary:
Bike: 2003 BMW K1200RS
Sidecar: Hannigan extra wide, (Super Sport)
Mileage: 20,000+
Title: I own the bike, and have the title in person
Last Maintenance: All fluid changes a year back
Located: Ambler PA (19002)
Imperfections: BMW decal on the left side is almost gone due to sun exposure, was already there when i bought it. Minor scuffs, nothing noticeable.

Tounnuae Cover: 2 Sets. I have 2 Kids Helmet with built in speaker and microphone that i can throw in with this bike.

Cost: $8500

Seems like i cannot post pictures here, please send me your email and i can send the pictures to you.

That is a good point. @rudyunknown, bring your sidecar rig the 438 miles from your house, to the entrance of the fairgrounds in Topsham, Maine, for the 2025 USCA National Sidecar Rally, and hang a For Sale sign on it. Best chance to find a buyer, is at a sidecar rally.

Hmmm that does seem like an adventure 🙂 When is the rally, vested way too much in Kids sports at this time, so want to make sure that there is no conflict in that as well.

Oh, Rudy.....the 2025 USCA National Sidecar Rally in Topsham, Maine is June 12th through June 15th.

That's a Thursday through Sunday.

There will be a bazillion donuts, and 4 donut holes on site.

Eat

BTW, I am coming out from Western Washington...more than 3,300 miles each way....so do not tell us that your 438 miles is a long distance.

Razz
