wind noise
My wife has a 93 GL 1500 SE witha a Friendship III on it.The wind that comes up between the sidecar and bike is really annoying to the right ear. It's like a wind tunnel.Has anyone bought or built some kind of deflector to redirect this wind away.I put Baker Wings on and it helped a little, but still pretty loud.
Thanks
Geo.

Hello George,
your problem with the "tunnel wind" is well-known and I can confirm how annoying it is.
A Goldwing comrade has constructed a stainless steel bracket mounted with an especially designed deflector made of acryl glass. Since this wind deflector is installed on my GL 1800, the annoyance has gone - it is nearly wind less like behind the big windshield. It is also applicable for a GL 1500.
Look at the attached pics.

does your friend make these for sale and if so how much? Thanks for the pics,I know that would work because one time I put my forearm up about that level and it got quiet.
Thanks
Geo.

Nice pictures and I like the idea of this deflector. My rig is offset differently (bigger gap between the bike's windscreen and the sidecar windscreen) and the side wind come onto me further back, thus this might not work for a Ural Rig, but it is a good idea for other style rigs.
