Wheel bearing, Champion Escort
Does anyone have a bearing number for the wheel bearing on an Escort? I can not find a number on the bearings. Thanks in advance. Jim
not much help here but maybe the folks here will know....

Why not take one to a bearing shop?
They're probably standard timken bearings.

Thanks guys. If nobody has the number I will have them matched at one of the bearing houses in Nashville. Trying to take the simple way out and get them 30 miles closer at NAPA. I appreiciate the response.
Can't give you much help, but I just greased the bearings in my Escort, a couple of days ago. They looked good, just almost dry and I never thought to look for numbers. I also found they don't have a dust cap, and there isn't room for one under the hub cap that fits the fancy wheel. I am on a month trip with mine, or i would take it back apart to check the numbers. Good luck with yours, and I would be intrested, if you can come up with the numbers. I also have no idea what year my Champion was made, emailed Champion asking for info, gave them the serial number, of my Escort, they emailed me back saying they had no record of my TRIKE being made. Oh well.
NAPA can figure the bearing # by measuring them, just bring them with, they can match the seal too.
They are just standard trailer wheel bearings for a 1 inch axle. NAPA will have a kit with both bearings and the seal for about $18
The part numbers for the bearings are L-44643 The races L-44610 and the seal SL-122-1
If your bike has a disk brake. The rotor will have to be removed. As the rotor was turned on this hub and is a sloppy fit on the bolts, I drill two 1/8 inch holes through the brake rotor into the hub for split pins BEFORE I remove the rotor. This way it can be centered up using the new holes with split pins to located the rotor the same as it was.
We use the same rotor however we bore the center out so that you need not remove it to remove the seals. We also make our own hubs from scratch, With our own hubs rotor fit is not a problem. Champion welds a ring onto the back of a trailer hub for thier rotor.
