HELLO ONE AND ALL!!!

Just have a few questions if (actually just one!!) Does anyone know if I can use a 12 inch rim(trailer) on the Palma? I sold Jean my 10 inch rim so I could use something more practical. I updated my hub to modern(?) specs. I don't want to use the 4.80 if possible. Thanks for your time. I am going to up load some pictures soon. Going to have it mounted in a week or to and need to figure out the tire issue since they don't work to well without something that rolls!! Ha ha!!

Kind regards!!!

Lee

I doubt if the bolt patter in the same, You do not say where you are from, in the USA a 4 bolt trailer pattern is usually on a 4 inch circle. Not sure on an English sidecar but I think that it is the same as the Mini ran and as such is different. It was my hope that some one who knew for sure would chime in but as it has been 2 days I thought I would share what little I know. If you do not have a brake then you might be able to change hubs but again I doubt if the sidecar has the USA standard 1 inch axle. You also may be able to drill a different bolt pattern to the current hub. The of course comes the question, will the 12 inch wheel and tire fit under the fender? A 10 inch wheel is practical if that is what the sidecar was designed for. You just have to work a bit harder to find tires.

Thanks Jay. The hub is now standard to american specs. I think a 5.80 will work. I am going to us longer bolts and spacers to give me a little more room to work with. I was concerned about travel distance but I believe this is close to the 10inch it originally had..
