From reading the owner manual The tire pressures list are
front 22psi cold
sidecar 22psi cold
rear 36 psi cold

Is this a misprint? This go against what I knew about motorcycles. Can some explain why you wouldwant so low front tire pressure when I feel when turning a sidecar rig you are loading the front tire alot. I am new to sidecars and it feels to me riding you are pulling the whole rig around the front tire.

It's not a misprint, it's been that way for years.

I'm not sure what the rational is, although I know that the russian tires have extremely stiff sidewalls. You can get alot more information from http://imzwa.secureforum.com/login.

Most owners seem to run anywhere from 28-36psi.

Most owners run higher pressure on the pusher tire.

I run 34psi all around. Some people don't like it that high 'cause it tends to make the bike 'skitter'.

I run 30 psi in the front and hack tires,40 psi in the pusher. I tried different settings, even chalked the tires to see wear patterns...as they say your results may vary!I'm going on 6km on my '04 Tourist. Looks like the rear tire is headed for about 7.5 km before it gets down to 2/32" tread depth.
