Can anyone post a picture (with a ruler) of a 1999 to 2010 Harley Ultra factory sidecar of the area where the the hole is drilled through the tub where the wiring harness goes through? I have a Classic and am adding a power port, but want to drill the hole in the Ultra stock location. Thanks, Bogus Bob.

I thought the Ultra sidecar came with a cigaret lighter why can you not use it for power? I only have a standard HD sidecar do to how low the dash in the Ultras hang down making it harder to get in and out. Sorry I cannot help more and good luck.

I have a Classic not an Ultra. What I propose to do is add a power port to the Classic and drill the wiring hole to be compatable with an Ultra for any future upgrades to keep the hole in the stock Ultra location. Do not want to butcher the tub and wind up with 2 holes in the future.

OK so the hack is a standard HD sidecar. I thought they only made when they made them a standard and a Ultra sidecar. So are you saying you have a classic bike with a standard sidecar? What I would do is drill a hole the size of a rubber grommet to fit with a small as possible hole in it or just big enough hole for the wire to help keep water out.

Yes, I have a HD Classic bike with a standard HD sidecar. I realize that I can just drill a hole anywhere, but I would perfer it to be in the stock Ultra Classic sidecar factory location. Figured that I will just wait to see an Ultra rig on the road and look at it myself. Will be riding the rig from Central Florida to Sturgis via NC and WV to meet up with the rest of the group so I am sure to run into a few other sidecar riders along the way.

Ride safe. I all so plane on putting a power port in my standard HD sidecar one day. I just got done moving the head set plug to the right of the bike so my grandson can plug in and we can talk while he is in the hack. You know how 8 year old children are a million questions.

I looked in both my HD sidecar manuals but do not really show much.
