Has any one any information on using a tow bar to pull my rig, instead having to use a trailor? I thought i saw something a few years ago but cant remember where. thanks mike

Doesn't sound like a great idea with an asymetrical vehicle. Trikes yeah.

My very first sidecar rig was a Harley that had been used at a Chevy garage for car jockeying. It had a tow bar attached to the front wheel, using a longer axle. It flipped up when it wasn't needed. I towed it a dozen times a week without incident, but never at highway speeds. Most of our customers were right there in town.

I believe Hal Kendall described having something similar at one time.

A lot of car dealers and garages used to have servicars with towbars for in town pickup and delivery. I've never seen a sidecar rig used for this with a towbar.
When we were painting the Interstate bridges between Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA in 1966 we would take one side of the bridge at a time. One dealer towed servicar got loose and came through our operation. That was quite exciting and had all on their toes for a few long seconds. No casualties except for the Harley (and maybe the Gofer's job). 35 MPH zone.
