I have a 1980 Motorvation Roadster Royal sidecar on my Suzuki 1500 Intruder and if you have ever seen a Roadster Royal car you know that the windshield is big....I'm talkin big..LOL...well seems at hwy speeds the wind off the bikes windshield rolls off and mixes with the sidecar windshild right about where my body is making a buffeting turbulance that goes right in my face...I know this because I have the same bike and windshield which is a solo bike without the sidecar and when I ride it there is no wind like the rig has....anyone got any ideas on how to stop the turbulance??? maybe a batwing fairing or a deflector of some kind....Thanks Steve

The wind screen was always the first thing for me to get hidden in the shop as a dust collector.
They often have the cw-factor of a parachute and make monkeying impossible.
So they do not apply for this monkey...
On a big bike like yours its another story, A deflector possibly will be very ugly and work only at certain speed ranges. Eventually you'll build a whistle.Yhuiiiiii!
(reminds me to early Beemer K100RT)

Tape some wool strings on the fairing and wind screen to check the whirls at different speeds.

Best regards

The string trick sounds good idea to see where the swirl is coming from...I'll at least know where but will have to figure out how to stop it...Thanks Steve

Hi Steve,I picked up some little wind wings off a Hot Rod accessories website that I have been meaning to try out after I figure out how to change the existing clips and attach them somehow to the existing snaps on my sidecar for the rag top,you might try something like that, then you can put them on and move them up or down on a slide bar would be nice. Also the engine guard chap on just the right side may change the wind direction for you, but then momma may not be too happy...lol ... Nice to see you out here. Linda Here is a picture;
